We are pleased to inform our readers and authors that one of our published clinical trials titled “The Influence of Oral Ginger before Operation on Nausea and Vomiting after Cataract Surgery under General Anesthesia: A double-blind placebo-controlled randomized clinical trial”, has received the highest score for clinical trials based on “AORN research evidence appraisal tool”. According to Nancy Girard, an expert who reviewed the paper, the paper represents the best research evidence available and the findings of this research is recommended for perioperative nurses to consider this evidence in guiding their future practice.

Using the “AORN research evidence appraisal tool”, the published trial on Electronic Physician successfully got the highest possible score for clinical trials (Score I A). According to Nancy Girard, the study was scored as A for quality of evidence because it included safeguards against bias, used an adequate sample size, had a well-controlled design, and presented results that led to definite conclusions.

AORN Foundation is one of the greatest names in the world of medical and nursing research. AORN funds academic scholarships, professional development grants, and patient safety resources such as tool kits, webinars, and seminar series. They also publish the well-known and reputable “AORN Journal”. It is a routine for the AORN to criticize and evaluate the quality of clinical publications of other journals using the “AORN research evidence appraisal tool”.

The reviewed publication is available here on our website (PDF) and here on PubMed. The report of appraisal score of the reviewed paper is also available here on AORN Journal and here on PubMed.

The journal "Electronic Physician" uses this opportunity to invite the medical practitioners and clinical researchers to read five clinical trials and a brilliant Meta-Analysis that we have just published on Volume 10, Issue 6, June 2018.

The worldwide spread of COVID-19 as an emerging, rapidly evolving situation, and the dramatic need of urgent medicine or vaccine, has rapidly brought new hypotheses for pathophysiology and potential medicinal agents to the fore. It is crucial that the research community provide a way to publish this research in a timely manner.

To contribute to this important public health discussion, the Electronic Physician Journal is excited to announce a fast-track procedure to help researchers publish their articles on COVID-19 related subjects that fall under the broad definition of public health, internal medicine, and pharmacology. We are especially welcome to all hypotheses about the pathological basis of the COVID-19 infection and the possible characteristics of potential medicine and vaccine. Submit your manuscript here
